Why Do People Like Buying XXL Mouse Pad?
一、What Is XXL Mouse Pad?
The XXL mouse pad can be referred to as an extended mouse pad. This type of mouse pad can effectively turn the entire area in front of the computer desktop into a huge mouse pad. Items such as keyboards, game controllers, laptops, and water bottles can all be placed on mouse pads. Your whole table has become a mouse usable surface. Moreover, although many mice don’t require a mouse pad to work on most surfaces, a good oversized mouse pad can protect your mouse and make it feel more comfortable to use.
Of course, small size mouse pads also have other advantages like easy portability and affordability. However, if you replace the small mouse pad with a large one, your office work width will increase by 90%, which can greatly improve your work efficiency.
二、Why Do Gamers Like Using XXL Mouse Pads?
To understand why gamers like to use XXL mouse pads, we must discuss how the mouse converts your hand movements into your screen. When you move the mouse, the optical sensor tracks the position of the mouse relative to its surface. The game mouse can adjust cursor tracking by setting points per inch (or DPI), which can set the distance the cursor moves when the sensor detects movement.
Game mouse manufacturers often boast about the high tracking rate of mice, as it indicates that sensors are more powerful and precise. However, professional gamers have very high mouse control speed and accuracy. They usually prefer to keep DPI at an extremely low level, to the point where they need to fully extend their arms to move the mouse from one side of the screen to the other. It can improve the accuracy of the game. If you can stop the mouse instantly, then when the mouse briefly appears in the distance, you can stop it on the head of the enemy in the distance. To wave your arms and achieve this meticulous pointing and clicking, you need a mouse pad that can stretch like you. Therefore, ultra wide or XXL mouse pads are essential.

四、What Should We Pay Attention To Choosing A XXL Mouse Pad?
1. Material
The flexibility of mouse pads varies, and they are made of fabric, plastic, rubber, or even glass or metal. A soft mouse pad has greater traction than a hard mouse pad. Although a hard and smooth surface can provide more sliding force and less traction. For lots of users, this mouse pad may feel too fast and erratic. Most people prefer the best effect provided by modern gaming mouse pads, which can balance traction and sliding forces. For example, soft mouse pads such as fabric, plastic and rubber are a better choice. The fabric soft mouse pad is very suitable for shooting games, because he provided excellent control. And the soft material is very wrist friendly, which is making it less noisy to use. So, since there are so many advantages to a soft mouse pad, why consider a hard mouse pad. When movement speed becomes the main factor to consider, a hard mouse pad has certain advantages. The surface of the hard mouse pad is smooth, with almost no resistance and fast movement speed. This is very suitable for games with large movements.
2. Thickness
Most mouse pads have the same thickness, but there are still some differences. They will affect the user experience of the mouse mat. The thin mouse pad is lighter, which will make it easier to fold up. But in cases where the filtering desktop is uneven, its effect is not particularly noticeable. Meanwhile, if your desk has grooves, pits, or protrusions, you will notice them and they will affect the performance of the mouse. A thicker mouse pad can help alleviate surface defects, but it cannot overcome them. Regardless of which mouse pad you choose, please ensure that your expected surface is as flat as possible. Thick mouse pads provide better support for accessories and wrists than thin mouse pads. In summary, material quality is the most important.
3. Suture Edges
The stitching technique is also a very important detail of the mouse pad. A mouse pad with good stitching not only looks good, but also has a longer lifespan because the stitching can prevent gradual wear and tear. But even good stitching can wear and irritate your hands. If you find that when you move your arm to the edge stitching, the edge stitching will irritate the skin on your wrist, then it’s obvious time to use a seamless mousepad.
4. Durability
In general, the material used for game mouse pads is better than that for regular home and office mouse pads. High quality gaming mouse pads will use more durable materials. Therefore, this type of product can be used for many years. Among them, mouse pads made of hard materials such as glass or metal are more durable. However, hard mouse pads are not as comfortable and controllable as soft mouse pads. So fabric mouse pads are the most common.
5. Moisture Resistance
Maybe you haven’t heard of this performance. After playing games continuously for several hours, the mouse pad will become sticky. If you play games in damp places, mouse water sliding is also a problem. Moisture will accumulate on the surface of the mouse pad, affecting sensor performance and sliding flexibility. Therefore, if you value the gaming experience very much, when purchasing a mouse pad, you should consider whether the material has moisture resistance.
6. Easy To Clean
Cleaning is another aspect that gaming mouse pads need to consider. Over time, the mouse pad may accumulate dirt and dust, which can affect its performance and require regular cleaning. Fabric is the most difficult material to clean. When cleaning the cloth, you need to rinse it with running water and dry it or wipe the mouse pad with a damp towel. The rubber material mouse pad or plastic mouse pads is relatively easier to clean. Of course, metal mouse pad or transparent glass mouse pads are the easiest to clean.
